66th Montecatini International Short Film Festival

Location: Montecatini Terme (Italy)

Dates: 18 - 25 October 2015

Who can participate?

  1. Films produced after January 1, 2013.
  2. Films no longer than 40 minutes.
  3. Works already presented in other Italian or foreign events can participate.
  4. All entries must they subtitled in English (except the films with all the dialogues in English)

Competitive sections:

  1. International Competition: addressed to filmmakers from around the world.
  2. Film School Competition: addressed to film schools and their students, and dedicated to the works made in the course of their education or the work of a diploma / degree.
  3. Competition Looking the East: given to works produced in Eastern Europe
  4. Competition "MISFF Online Festival": reserved for authors who have joined to online festival. To participate in the online edition of the festival you must enroll their films exclusively through the platform FestHome).
  5. Showcase Fedic: reserved for authors FEDIC (Italian Cineclub Federation).

    1. Best Short “Looking Est”: reserved for films from Eastern Europe
    2. On Line Audience Awards: for films participating in the online edition of the Festival
    3. Best Fedic Short Film: reserved for films produced by the members of Fedic Cineclubs

How to enroll?

  1. Register film by one of the following platforms (choice of the author):
    1. FestHome
    2. MoviBeta
    3. FilmFreeWay
  2. Together with the film you must submit the following documents:
    1. A copy of the film for projection must be available on the platform of choice for enrollment
    2. Synopsis (.doc or .docx)
    3. List of dialogues in English (.doc or .docx)
    4. Poster of the film (jpeg)
    5. 2 photos (.jpg format)
  3. Deadlines for registration:
    1. Regular deadline: June 15, 2015
    2. Extended deadline: July 20, 2015
  4. Cost of registration:
    1. Regular deadline: 15 € (17 $)
    2. Extended deadline: 35 € (40 $)

Upon registration of the film at the festival the author states:

  1. I have read, understood and fully respect all information of eligibility standards for enrollment, conditions and requirements;
  2. To the best of my knowledge, all the information I entered during the registration of the work are true;
  3. This work is not subject to any dispute, nor is threatened by any litigation;
  4. I am duly authorized to make this work at the festival;
  5. I certify that I have the full right to the use of music in the work that I entered;
  6. Do permission to use stills, titles, copy, and / or information of the film for promotional purposes;
  7. Do permission to screen the film at the Festival and any presentations Festival, programs, and / or events;
  8. Warning: We do not pay screening fees for projection during the festival, programs or events. If the film-makers require any payment for the projection, the work will not be permitted.
